Why Calgary now is one of the most desired city to move to?

In this post, I will go over a handful of reasons as to why I believe Calgary will be a place of growth and a place where many people will find their happy place.

 

Living in Toronto is surely unmatched. I mean unmatched in it’s good and its bad. It can be overwhelming for some. The busy city life may not be suitable for certain people and this is where I believe Calgary can be a great alternative. You get the benefits of living in Canada while being able to go downtown and have a peaceful stroll without there being jam packed traffic and people all over the place. Calgary is very diverse and has a lot of entertainment but since it is not as big of a population as Toronto, it allows you to enjoy things on your time while not having to fight for reservations and pay top dollar for a night out in the city. First off, Something I find very compelling about.

Calgary, Alberta is the amount of jobs available and the reduced level of traffic. That’s right, traffic. It may sound like a small issue but if you think about it, the only true luxury we have in this life is time. Being able to save multiple minutes and in most cases, hours, of commuting is priceless. You can spend more time working on your side business, with family, or just working on your hobby. 

 

Location:
Secondly is the location. Calgary is situated where it’s a good idea to road trip to Vancouver, only a few hours away from the famous West Edmonton Mall, and more. Thirdly, the environment for youth. Since Calgary is in its early stage of development, overcrowding is nearly non-existent. Schools are well balanced and this will surely have an effect in the way the children learn and make friends. Social life is very important.

 

Especially in an age where kids are handed screens to stay occupied. Furthermore, Calgary is a city that was ranked “the world’s cleanest city” in 2007 by Forbes Magazine and in 2014 by Mercer Global Financial list, has no provincial sales tax, and has endless things to do. If you asked me about Calgary 10 years ago, I would pictures something of a ghost town with an oil mine in the distance.
